About the Event

LA DEAL is partnering with the California Community Foundation and other leading organizations in this space to present Community-First Solutions to the Digital Divide: Getting to Fast, Affordable, Reliable Internet for all Angelenos, we’ll dig into the root causes of the Digital Divide, and explore the opportunities for digital equity with new resources, changing policy, and a growing set of examples of innovative and creative solutions in communities around the country.

The discussion will feature California Public Utilities Commissioner Martha Guzman Aceves, The Honorable Holly J. Mitchell, Los Angeles County Supervisor, 2nd District, and other prominent leaders and innovators from LA County and beyond.

Across three dynamic and fast-moving panel conversations, speakers will address the systemic inequities at the root of the digital divide, the opportunities for systems change, and the policy and community-advocacy context for what’s next.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
